This Cookie Policy explains how Social Muse ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on socialmuse.online and in the Social Muse web application (the "Service"). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, do the same job. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
The Service mainly uses your browser's local storage, not traditional cookies. We do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not allow advertising networks to place cookies through the Service.
2. What we store and why
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are needed for the Service to work and to keep it secure. They do not need your consent, and you cannot switch them off in our settings.

Without functional consent, these are not kept in your browser between visits. When you are signed in, your theme is saved on your account so it follows you across devices.
Analytics (only with your consent)

Analytics and functional storage are off until you accept them in the cookie banner. Rejecting them never limits what you can do in the Service.
Third-party pages
When you pay, you are taken to the checkout page of our payment partner, Dodo Payments, which uses its own cookies for payment processing and fraud prevention under its own policies. When you connect a social media account, you sign in on that platform's own pages, which use their own cookies.
Push notifications
If you allow browser notifications, your browser stores a notification registration with Google Firebase so we can send you service notifications. You can turn this off at any time in your browser settings.
3. Your choices
- Change your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops that category from then on and removes what it stored.
- Browser settings. You can clear or block storage in your browser. If you block strictly necessary storage, you will not be able to sign in.
4. Changes
We may update this policy when we change what we store. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
